Si nous nous intéressons aux sujets que sont les étudiants, l'université peut-elle être ce cadre de l'émergence du sujet ? Quels chemins possibles vers son développement personnel ? Pour favoriser l'émergence d'un sujet, il est possible d'accompagner chacun vers la maîtrise de soi, vers la connaissance de soi. "Etudiant qui es-tu ?". A l'image de la question qu'Ada Abraham posait aux enseignants, nous pouvons transposer cette interrogation aux étudiants. It is well established that Innovation and Entrepreneurship are vital aspects of a thriving economy and economists and even business people have emphasised these issues at least since the time of Joseph Schumpeter's work. However in recent years it has become increasingly apparent that Innovation and Entrepreneurship is just as important in other aspects of society including government, health, social welfare and education to mention only four areas.

The growth of entrepreneurship research has been accompanied by an increased convergence and institutionalization of the field. In many ways this is of course positive, but it also represents how the field has become "mainstream" with the concomitant risk that individual scholars become embedded in a culture and incentive system that emphasizes and rewards incremental research questions, while reducing the incentives for scholars to conduct challenging research. This book challenges this status quo from accepted theories, methodologies and paradigmatic assumptions, to the relevance (or lack of) for contemporary practice and the impact of key journals on scholars’ directions in entrepreneurship research.
