"Abraham P. Lehmann was born in the new Swiss Settlement of Sonnenberg, in Wayne County, Ohio, about two years after his parents arrived there as the first settlers."--P. 23. The Lehmann family Bible lists his birth as September 30(?),1821. He married Elizabeth Luginbuhl, daughter of Hans and Barabara Lichty Luginbuhl on 29 December 1842 at his parents home. "They made their home with his aging parents on the family homestead near the Sonnenberg Church."--P. 24. They later moved to Putnam County in western Ohio then returned to Pendleton (now Pandora) in Wayne County. Abraham died there 31 March 1895 and is buried in the St. John's Cemetery. Elizabeth died 8 May 1905 and is also buried in St. Johns Cemetery. Since the burial custom was to use the grave sites in consecutive order as deaths occur, they were not buried beside each other. Descendants and relatives lived in Ohio, Oklahoma, Illinois, Colorado, Minnesota, Indiana, Missouri, Texas, California and elsewhere.
