Volume is a scrapbook containing 18th and 19th century clippings of periodical articles, jokes, and poems, all on the topic of women, interspersed with printed cutouts of women's portraits and other printed illustrations pasted on the pages of the volume. Topics include fashion, customs, famous women of past and present, literary characters, physical education, love, marriage, women's suffrage. Some manuscript annotations identifying portraits and noting publication and date of clipping. Several loose clippings laid-in throughout volume.
