This rare, uncensored glimpse into the intimate life of a celebrity—albeit anonymously—feels raw and genuine, infused with a vulnerability that appeals to the voyeur in all of us. - Blue Ink Review The author’s writing is regal, intelligent, social media contemporary, and provocative without becoming raunchy...Readers who enjoy erotic accounts written from a unique, cleverly intuitive perspective and spiced with a pungent, feverish hedonism will be pleased to discover the heady material blossoming in the pages of this candid memoir. A provocative and entrancing autobiography that’s both titillating and authentic. - Kirkus Review This is a dangerous book. It is in the tradition of forbidden works, like Casanova’s and Henry Miller’s. More than a simple autobiography, this personal narrative is a revolutionary glimpse into the insatiable desires and endless depths of youthful feelings, exposing things best-kept secret. A Player’s Tale recounts the adventures and misadventures of a young man who was born into the purple glow of “Hollywood Royalty.” He tells of his first childhood glimpses of the nude female form, his loss of virginity with a prostitute, and his most excessive exploits in a culture of selfie-fueled libido, before finally discovering the peace of love. He speaks frankly about sex in the modern age—from insecurity at sleepovers to the problems of fidelity, from sex tapes to chakra openings, from ayahuasca trips to bedding sisters, from threesomes to attempted suicide, from ego death to alchemical transformation. It is a coming-of-age narrative not just for the anonymous author but for the world, as it deals with sexuality and spiritualty at the dawn of the twenty-first century. Reflective and humorous, this memoir of a man’s eternal quest for love led him to countless women, exotic lands, and the ultimate awakening to his soul.

This book explores four real-world topics through the lens of probability theory. It can be used to supplement a standard text in probability or statistics. Most elementary textbooks present the basic theory and then illustrate the ideas with some neatly packaged examples. Here the authors assume that the reader has seen, or is learning, the basic theory from another book and concentrate in some depth on the following topics: streaks, the stock market, lotteries, and fingerprints. This extended format allows the authors to present multiple approaches to problems and to pursue promising side discussions in ways that would not be possible in a book constrained to cover a fixed set of topics. To keep the main narrative accessible, the authors have placed the more technical mathematical details in appendices. The appendices can be understood by someone who has taken one or two semesters of calculus.

The "Immaculate Reception" may have started it all, but the 1979 Pittsburgh Steelers put the stamp on the modern era’s greatest sports dynasty. It’s not even a debate. No other National Football League team in the modern sports era—as defined by Nielson—won so much in so little time. The tag is sure to stay with the Steelers for a long, long time. Fans in Pittsburgh can thank NFL free agency, but only in part. They should really thank the ’79 Steelers for winning a fourth title when, really, the team should not have done so. The 1979 Steelers were not supposed to win a championship. The Steel Curtain was in decline, and the Houston Oilers were pounding on the door of the AFC. By the end of the season, of course, the banged-up Oilers were not to be feared, not with the San Diego Chargers gathering steam. In the NFC, the Dallas Cowboys could taste revenge, particularly after Steelers coach Chuck Noll had mocked them unmercifully following the previous year’s Super Bowl. However, the Steelers persevered. "We probably won it more on desire, football intellect," said Steelers defensive superstar "Mean" Joe Greene. Greene admitted that the defense was in decline. He even admitted his great career was in decline, but he never thought the end of the dynasty was near. Star quarterback Terry Bradshaw, on the other hand, with his career just taking off, knew the end was at hand, and after his greatest season, after his second of back-to-back Super Bowl Most Valuable Player awards, Bradshaw hinted at retirement. "I probably should have," he admits 25 years later. The 1979 season had exhausted Bradshaw, a topic he talks about in Tales from Behind the Steel Curtain. Greene also has plenty to say. So do their teammates and their coaches, not to mention the scouts, front office and support personnel, media, and fans. They all have tales to tell about the key season of one of the greatest dynasties the sports world has ever seen.
