Commissioned by the Piedmont Triad International Airport Authority, this Airport Master Plan Update is to provide an updated plan for the Piedmont Triad International Airport by 1) identifying the recent air carrier activity trends with respect to hub-oriented and point-to-point-oriented aviation systems with these trends being incorporated into new aviation forecasts; 2) defining the most appropriate configuration of new runways and runway extensions for the Piedmont Triad International Airport with careful attention being directed toward runway length requirements and airfield capacity; 3) developing a detailed Capital Improvement Cost Profile to support the defined airside and landside improvements.
