The 5th Asia Conference on Mechanical and Materials Engineering (ACMME 2017) was held during June 9-11, 2017 in Tokyo, Japan. The presented collection of papers contains the newest researches results and achievements in the field of applied materials engineering for the various branches of the modern manufacturing. The 5th International Asia Conference on Industrial Engineering and Management Innovation is sponsored by the Chinese Industrial Engineering Institution and organized by Xi’an Jiaotong University. The conference aims to share and disseminate information on the most recent and relevant researches, theories and practices in industrial and system engineering to promote their development and application in university and enterprises.
