On March loth, 1846, provisional trustees were elected and the society was organized so that real estate could be held by the corporation. Mr. George B. Walbridge was elected president of the board. The other members were: Jason Sexton, John R. Lee, Thomas J. Dudley, Elias S. Hawley, Dennis Bowen, Gains B. Rich, Morris Butler, Gurdon C. Coit.
