The printed poetry anthologies first produced in sixteenth-century England have long been understood as instrumental in shaping the history of English poetry. This book offers a fresh approach to this history by turning attention to the recreative properties of these books, both in the sense of making again, of crafting and recrafting, and of poetry as a pleasurable pastime. The model of materiality employed extends from books-as-artefacts to their embodiedness - their crafted, performative, and expressive capacities. Publishers invariably advertised the recreational uses of anthologies, locating these books in early modern performance cultures in which poetry was read, silently and in company, sometimes set to music, and re-crafted into other forms. Engaging with studies of material cultures, including work on craft, households, and soundscapes, Crafting Poetry Anthologies argues for a domestic Renaissance in which anthologies travelled across social classes, shaping recreational cultures that incorporated men and women in literary culture.

This book contains illuminating core Scriptures with plain and yet vital messages that shed light upon our personal and cultural crises and the solutions to overcome them. These Scriptures were reverently selected to sharpen and simplify the core messages of the Bible that are relevant for our understanding and deliverance from our precarious human predicament. Relevant themes and subjects were selected and guidance of the Holy Spirit supplied the spiritual prescriptions. This book represents precious diamonds and golden nuggets from the inexhaustible riches of the revealed Word of God. It is not necessary to dig and search for these invaluable treasures. The message is so plain that "he that runs can read it." The major themes, such as spiritual illness, spiritual guidance, rewards, salvation and deliverance, are simplified and profoundly disclosed from the contextual wrappings and exegetical interpretations. Each page of this book, expressed in few words, contains a significant core message of spiritual knowledge, understanding and enlightenment. Each page and each framed Scriptural expression are designed for continuous study, nurture, display, and publication throughout our social and physical environment. The selection and concentration of these precious Words of God makes for potent spiritual prescriptions for our personal lives and cultural crisis.
