RESUMENLas diferencias en cuanto a razón de género en el ámbito laboral son cada vez más un interés social y económico. Por ello, el principal objetivo que se presenta en este trabajo es analizar la situación del mercado laboral tanto español como europeo entre hombres y mujeres, y en concreto el análisis de la brecha de género en el mercado laboral. En primer lugar, se contextualiza las causas y los diferentes tipos de discriminación que existen para así tener un amplio conocimiento acerca del concepto brecha de género. A continuación, se realiza un estudio tanto de la evolución del mercado laboral español analizando cadauno de los sectores como de la diferencia salarial existente, y del mercado laboral europeo en el que se compara la situación de la Unión Europea y el resto de los países. Por último, se trata de cuantificar la diferencia de ocupación en términos de género en cada tipo de empleo básico. De esta manera, se podrá comprobar las diferencias de ocupación que existen en España y en qué proporción se cuantifica la brecha de género en cada tipo de empleo.Palabras clave: Mercado laboral, diferencias por género, discriminación, brecha de género, empleo.
