The story of half-brothers Peter and Melchior Trautmann, from Reichelsheim im Odenwald, Hessen, Germany, who emigrated with their families to the Pennsylvania Colony, British Colonial America in 1751; lived there for nearly 20 years and then migrated to the Northwest North Carolina frontier in 1770.
