William Odell was born ca. 1714 and married Elizabeth (perhaps ElizabethTalbot). They settled in Baltimore County, Maryland, where he died in the 1748. Descendants lived in Maryland, Virginia, Ohio, and Indiana.

William Odell was born 24 February 1602 in Wharley, Cranfield, Bedford, England. He married Rebecca Brown. They emigrated and settled in Concord, Massachusetts. They had four children. Descendants and relatives lived in Massachusetts, Connecticut, New York, Virginia, Tennessee, Missouri, Oklahoma, Kansas, Utah, Oregon, Alabama, Colorado, Nebraska, Arizona, New Mexico, California, Nevada, Texas, Ohio, Arkansas, Washington and elsewhere.
