In this book, the author initially gives countless examples of young George Chaffey's inquisitive, engineering mind in his birth country, Canada, after which he describes George and his brother William Benjamin's inventiveness in the USA. Ship building, irrrigation and electricity were to fascinate this curious inventor from an early age.
