People are talking, texting, tweeting, and posting. Whether Twitter to Twitter, Instagram to Instagram, Facebook to Facebook, FaceTime to FaceTime, or face-to-face, conversations are happening nonstop. Many conversations are gossip, but the most important conversations center on the Gospel of Jesus. Jesus has called his followers to be Gospel conversationalists, not gossip conversationalists. Do you consider yourself a conversationalist? Does engaging in conversation come easy for you? Or does engaging in conversation terrify you? Whether being conversational comes easy for you or not, any and every follower of Jesus can become a Gospel conversationalist. Jesus was the original Gospel conversationalist. What Jesus said should influence what Jesus’s followers say. How Jesus said what he said should influence how Jesus’s followers say what they say. When Jesus engaged in one-on-one conversations, he spoke the language of the person with whom he was speaking. Jesus spoke differently to the Samaritan woman than he did Nicodemus. To the woman at the well, Jesus spoke about water to share the Gospel with her. While speaking with Nicodemus, Jesus used the account of Moses lifting up the serpent on the pole to share the Gospel with him. By considering Jesus’s conversational approach to sharing the truth of the Gospel, this book seeks to mine through some of Jesus’s encounters and one-on-one conversations for applicable principles for becoming a Gospel conversationalist. A Gospel conversationalist is one who, like Jesus, engages the lost in everyday life. A Gospel conversationalist is one who is working to win people to Jesus. Are you ready to become a Gospel conversationalist?

The Gospel Conversational Church was written for the purpose of helping churches cultivate a gospel conversational culture. A two-fold strategy was used to accomplish this purpose: (1) Prophetic inspiration from the Word of God was expounded in order to answer the question of why we should cultivate a gospel conversational culture, and (2) practical insights on how to cultivate such a culture was espoused. The Gospel Conversational Church was written for the local church and to the local church. The book is written in such a way where pastors and leaders can use it as a training tool. Yet, small groups can use it as a way to study a local church’s responsibility to fulfill the Great Commission.

Engaging in a gospel conversation is work, but it works and it's worth it. Casual conversations are the gateway to gospel conversations. Jesus talked to people. Jesus called his followers to talk to people. In the early church, followers of Jesus couldn't help but speak in and about the name of Jesus. In the modern church, too many followers of Jesus don't talk about Him at all. Why are believers in the local church not talking to their family, friends, or each other about Christ? The Gospel Conversation answers the following questions:* Why should followers of Jesus be engaging in gospel conversations? * What does engaging the lost look like in everyday life? * How can we connect people to Jesus one conversation at a time? In The Gospel Conversation, Sam Greer provides a biblical, intentional, and practical approach to engaging the lost in everyday life. By unpacking a conversation that Paul had with Philemon and through his own personal gospel conversations, Sam provides powerful and practical insight to help every Christ-follower start gospel conversations.

A practical how-to guide for Christians who want to share their faith in more effective and natural ways. How are we to talk about Jesus to someone who does not believe the way we do? Very few of us feel comfortable articulating the truthfulness of Christ’s death and resurrection to a peer outside of the church. Sometimes Christians feel intimidated by the objections of unbelievers who may say, “That’s right for you, but not for me” or “That’s just your opinion.” Jesus Conversations provides questions, answers, and relational tips in overcoming these conversation stoppers. Along with biblical insights and apologetics, readers will see firsthand examples and stories of ordinary people who share the gospel while visiting nursing homes, throwing parties, renting out bars for open- minded skeptics, and more. Sterrett’s book equips followers of Jesus to become winsome and confident in communicating the truths of the gospel to nonbelievers. It would be most effective for college students and will resonate with those who are familiar with the I Am Second movement. Key points and features: Provides strategies and practical insights to help Christians become courageous in engaging in conversations with those who might not believe in the authority of the Bible. Practical, relatable, and accessible.

Written in a storyteller's style, Vaughn recounts some fascinating conversations with various individuals from every walk of life. Whether it's a childhood friend, an unsaved brother, an angry man with a loaded pistol, a world-renowned scientist, or a soldier with only hours to live-you'll not only find these conversations thoroughly interesting but wonderfully instructive.
