Descendants of Roman Fyler of Cornwall, England, who had three children and a grandson come to New England in 1630 on the ship "Mary and John". 1. Walter (1630-1683) and his wife, Jane Irving (d. 1690), settled first in Dorchester, Massachusetts. In 1634 they removed to Windsor, Connecticut. 2. George, brother of Walter, and his son, George (d. 1681), also came in 1630. 3. Sister of Walter and George, Ann (d. 1662), married John Hoskins (d. 1648), who came to Dorchester, Massachusetts in 1630. Descendants live in Massachusetts, Connecticut, New York, Ohio, Kansas, Tennessee and elsewhere.

Jonathan Nichols Amsden (1826-1891) was born in Westfield, Chautauqua County, New York to Benjamin Cummings and Achsah Nichols Amsden. "In 1851 Jonathan came west to Illinois ... In Belvidere he met and courted Amelia Jane Smith, daughter of Barnabus Smith, Anna Cornwall ... Jonathan and Amelia were married in 1855"--Page 4. Claude Le Maitre or Delamater, was born in about 1611 in Richabourg, Artois, France. He married Louise Quennell (1617-1647), daughter of Anthoine Quennell and Marguerite Le Maistre, 29 October 1638 in Kent, England. They had three children. He married Jeanne De Lannoy 19 May 1648 in Middleborg, Holland. He married Hester Du Bois 24 April 1652 in Amsterdam. They emigrated in about 1652 and settled in New Amsterdam, where all six of their children were born. Claude died in about 1683 in Harlem, New York. Descendants and relatives lived mainly in New York.
