Occasionally seeds, nuts and berries are also consumed (martin, 1956; Wil liams, A few investigators have even re ported that Microtus have a propensity for meat (martin, 1956; Wellwood, 1956; Zimmer man, As part of an ecological study conducted from May 1966 to August 1969, I gathered informa tion on the 'voles' food habits on the islands in Notre Dame Bay.
