Taking Care of Tomorrow is a shopper's guide to assist Californians who are contemplating the purchase of long-term care (LTC) insurance or who want to learn more about LTC, options for paying for LTC, and resources regarding those options. It is maintained by the California Department of Aging's Health Insurance Counseling and Advocacy Program (HICAP). Local HICAP offices provide free community education and confidential individual counseling statewide on Medicare, Medicare supplement policies, Medicare Health Maintenance Organizations (HMOs) and LTC insurance.
