William Berry (1650-1721) was the son of Henry Berry, Sr. (d.1677) the first of this family in Virginia. The Berry family was located in old Rappahannock Co., VA, later known as Essex Co., VA. William married Margaret Doughty and they were the parents of Joseph, Enoch, Margaret and Elizabeth. William resided in Hanover Parish, Richmond Co., VA at the time of his death. Margaret was the daughter of Enoch Doughty (1639-1677), the son of Rev. Francis Doughty and his wife Bridgett. Several generations of descendants are given.
