Amanda Bynes Rules, Please! I'm Penelope Taynt, Amanda's #1 fan, please. I have good news for you, person. I've written a book that tells everything there is to know about Amanda and The Amanda Show, from what flavor baby food Amanda liked to the character she has the most fun playing on the show. It's kind of like the Encyclopedia of Amanda, please. Within these pages, I've included actual interviews with some of Amanda's closest associates, descriptions of truly valuable souvenirs I've found in the official Amanda Show Dumpster, details about all of Amanda's favorite things (coincidentally, they're my favorites too!), and my excellent reviews of the show's most amusing comedy sketches, please. Best of all, I've included exclusive pages from my very own Amanda scrapbook with glorious pictures of Amanda and her costars -- you're very lucky, person! I hope that writing this book will finally make it possible for me to fulfill my lifelong dream...to meet Amanda.

Rock star, crowdfunding pioneer, and TED speaker Amanda Palmer knows all about asking. Performing as a living statue in a wedding dress, she wordlessly asked thousands of passersby for their dollars. When she became a singer, songwriter, and musician, she was not afraid to ask her audience to support her as she surfed the crowd (and slept on their couches while touring). And when she left her record label to strike out on her own, she asked her fans to support her in making an album, leading to the world's most successful music Kickstarter. Even while Amanda is both celebrated and attacked for her fearlessness in asking for help, she finds that there are important things she cannot ask for-as a musician, as a friend, and as a wife. She learns that she isn't alone in this, that so many people are afraid to ask for help, and it paralyzes their lives and relationships. In this groundbreaking book, she explores these barriers in her own life and in the lives of those around her, and discovers the emotional, philosophical, and practical aspects of The Art of Asking. Part manifesto, part revelation, this is the story of an artist struggling with the new rules of exchange in the twenty-first century, both on and off the Internet. The Art of Asking will inspire readers to rethink their own ideas about asking, giving, art, and love.

Amanda Bynes is an American actress, singer, and fashion designer born on April 3, 1986, in Thousand Oaks, California. She grew up in an entertainment-focused family and made her debut in television at age seven. At the age of ten, Bynes starred in her own sketch comedy show, The Amanda Show, which aired on Nickelodeon from 1999 to 2002. Her success on the show led to roles in various films, including Big Fat Liar, What a Girl Wants, and She's the Man. Bynes received critical acclaim for her performance in the 2007 film Hairspray and was nominated for a Screen Actors Guild award. Despite her early success, Bynes experienced personal struggles in her adulthood, including legal issues related to drug abuse and mental health concerns. In 2010, she announced her retirement from acting, which she later revealed was due to her difficulties with addiction. In recent years, Bynes has been pursuing a career in fashion design and has been open about her mental health challenges, including her diagnosis with bipolar disorder. Despite the challenges she has faced, Amanda Bynes's talent and enduring popularity continue to make her an influential figure in the entertainment industry.
