Les différents projets présentés dans cet ouvrage intègrent des équipes de recherche, des équipes cliniques et des industriels avec, comme objectif, de résoudre des problèmes ardus et complexes, puis de prototyper des solutions ayant vocation à être industrialisées. De jeunes entreprises participent à l'essor de ce domaine, à côté des acteurs traditionnels. Ce développement pourrait être encore plus rapide si la télémédecine pouvait être remboursée ou soutenue institutionnellement par des financements récurrents.
