Excerpt from Supplement, 1912, to Annotated Consolidated Laws of the State of New York: Containing Amendments to Consolidated Laws, Code of Civil Procedure, and Other General Statutes, Enacted by the Legislature of 1912 and Also Decisions of the Courts and Rulings of the Attorney General Under the Laws and Constitution From July 1, 1911, To The power granted to the Legislature to prescribe the method of conducting elec tions cannot be so exercised as to disfranchise competent electors. The provision of section 12 of chapter 649 of the Laws of 1911, that the name of a person nominated by more than one political party shall be printed but once upon the ballot, and regulating in detail the method of carrying out such provision, is unconstitutional as unjustly discriminating between electors in the facility afforded them for casting their votes for the candidates of their choice.
