Stories for Gramp's Little Friends, is a book of love containing twenty-six short stories. They were written for and read to his grandchildren, which gave enjoyment to him and them. Some of the ideas for the stories came from the different subjects of Mrs. Finch's kindergarten class in rural Arkansas. The author's stories promote good manners, love, laughter, sharing, safety, and especially friendship. The stories are enjoyable reading for all ages.

Grandpa, Tell Me a Story is a collection of short stories inspired by the inquisitive minds of children looking for a way to comprehend the world around them with stories like "Freddie the Flicker", "Randy the Raindrop", and "Douglass Dirt"; the complex interactions between people with stories like "Recluse the Moose" and "Trust"; and life-lessons stories like "Be Kind to Animals", "Robbie and Bobbie Boots", and "Thought that Became a Word." Each of the stories is based on actual interactions between Grandpa and his Grandchildren. The author used his imagination, the Bible, and the wisdom of a grandparent to provide stories that young people can understand. The author hopes the stories provide insight and a framework for moms and dads to explain the tough questions kids can ask.

Kindergarten Tales and Then Some is about students in kindergarten and then some more stories. The story about the bus is intended to show the children riding the school bus the first time there is nothing to fear. When I first went to school I only needed a Big Chief tablet, lead pencil, and a box of crayons. I wrote the story on required school supplies so someday the children now in kindergarten will be able to look back and compare what they needed versus their grandchildren. Santa is present in some of the stories along with his reindeer and sleigh. It goes without saying where there is Santa there will be some of his elves. There are stories about how holidays are celebrated by kindergarten students. The book also tells of the compassion and generosity of the children toward others. Put all the stories together and they will show you the world will be in good hands in the future.
