The aim of this new edition is to update tables which appeared in 1976 and differs considerably from the first. Fifteen of the tables in this edition are new or extensively revised. A few have been dropped or amalgamated and the number of tables therefore has increased from 33 to 40. The publication presents within one cover a set of statistical, accounting and logarithmic tables used most widely in the social sciences, i.e. economics, management, business studies, sociology, politics, psychology, geography and education. The tables which are usually scattered over a number of books and articles and so not always in the form required by the general user, are brought together in a convenient form.
