This manual is a second edition of a book I wrote in the 90s, called 'Spiritual Warfare.' After consulting two brothers with whom I walk, we have decided that this generation has either forgotten or been denied the reality of a full comprehensive plan of salvation. The reality is, divine healing, health and living have almost become a thing of the past and deliverance has been relegated to medical science and psychology. The full comprehensive plan of salvation includes both healing and deliverance and we will never be made whole without them.

The Christian life would be much less complicated and much easier if we automatically became competent Spiritual Warriors at the point of conversion or the point of the infilling of the Holy Spirit. Unfortunately, that is not the case. A person does not become a Spiritual Warrior simply through a decision or a ritual act of conversion. Real faith is active, engaged, and committed. The active engagement and commitment of the Christian brings about the maturity of the new creation, created in the image of Christ. Putting on the "whole armor of God" is not a simple act of praying a simple prayer or speaking a pattern of words. It is a process that cannot be taught by man or learned by study. Putting on the "whole armor of God" is learned only from God, and then, it is learned only by sitting at the feet of Jesus regularly, with scripture in the forefront of the mind, meditating on the scripture and listening to Christ as He teaches. Herein, putting on the "whole armor of God" takes the form of "Spiritual Boot Camp:" the body and soul are intensely worked with regular Spiritual exercises in order to produce the "new man," militant, empowered, and both ready and able to wage war in the spirit.The spiritual battle is fierce, lifelong, and, whether we know it or not, everyone is involved. No one is given the luxury of watching from the sidelines. If we are to be victorious in this battle, we need to learn, from God, how to fight. This manual provides a disciplined, structured path for men and the framework needed for spending the necessary time with God, meditating on specific Scriptures, to allow Him to teach. It strongly recommends working and training with other men as a team to provide the encouragement and motivation to "keep on keeping on." It provides instructions for setting up and running a team. The framework follows a path of daily assignments (exercises) designed to allow God to develop a man into a strong, effective Spiritual Warrior.

There's a great war being waged in the world today; and it's not a conflict between nations, tribes, or government leaders. It's not a rebellion or coup; but it's an important invisible battle taking place in the spirit world. The Bible states that GOD's people are destroyed because of lack of knowledge (Hosea 4:6). One of the main areas in which Believers are being defeated due to lack of knowledge is in spiritual warfare. The early Church viewed their spiritual experience in terms of warfare, and military terminology is used throughout the New Testament. Protection was seen in the Armor of GOD, and the Word of GOD was compared to a sword. Satan's attacks were called fiery darts; and faith was the "good fight" and Believers were told to "war a good warfare." The early Church knew they were engaged in an intense spiritual struggle; and the same spiritual battle continues today, but instead of fighting the enemy, Believers are often building great church buildings, producing musical dramas, holding fellowship meetings, and fighting one another while this great spiritual battle wages around them. Satan has even intensified his attacks against a church that has withdrawn from the front lines of battle; and in these perilous and evil days are upon us; it's even more important for Believers to understand spiritual warfare than in the early days of church history. The Apostle Paul warned: 2 Timothy 3:1; "This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come." In order to be properly prepared for these perilous times, renewed emphasis must be placed on the strategies of spiritual warfare; because the Christian life is war, and the sooner we recognize and prepare for it; the sooner we will experience victory. Luke 14:31 says; "What king, going to make war against another king, sitteth not down first, and consulteth whether he is able with ten thousand to meet him that cometh against him with twenty thousand?" No king ever entered into a battle without a careful examination of his resources and development of battle strategies; but in essence, that's what we are doing in this training manual. We are making a careful evaluation of the strategy, weapons, and power available to us to win the war against our enemy, Satan. In the military world, "strategy" is the science of forming and carrying out military operations; and it is the method or plan which leads to the goal of victory.

Warrior 101 is preparation for active prayer duty and a foundational course in spiritual warfare that intercessors need to build a life of spiritual warfare.
