George Jackson was born 9 January 1757 in Cecil County, Maryland. His parents were John Jackson and Elizabeth Cummins. He married Elizabeth Brake (1757-1812), daughter of Jacob Brake and Elizabeth Cooper, 13 November 1776 near Moorefield, Hardy, West Virginia. Focuses on two of their grandsons, William Lowther Jackson (1798-1836) and John Jay Jackson (1800-1877), and their families. Descendants and relatives lived mainly in West Virginia.
