James Reynolds was born in England ca. 1620. He and his wife, Deborah, had seven children, all probably born in Plymouth Colony. He died at North Kingstown, Rhode Island, in 1700. Follett Reynolds, a descendant and the son of Deacon William Reynolds, was born at Pownall, Vermont, in 1789. He married Hannah Holmes at Cambridge, Vermont, in 1813. They had six children. He died at Cambridge in 1854. Descendants lived in Vermont, Wisconsin, Kansas, Illinois, and elsewhere.
