Izumi and Shikimori are spending their first summer together as a couple, and they make sure to pack it with memories. Going to the beach, barbequing, watching a fireworks show, sharing a picnic…what more could one summer hold? This touching romantic comedy picks up right where it left off as Izumi and Shikimori join their friends for summer fun.

A new school year begins and the gang is no longer all together in the same class, but their bonds transcend classrooms. Being split up does nothing to weaken their friendships and new classmates bring fresh opportunities to expand their friend circle. Izumi and Shikimori thankfully are together in the same class. They are thrilled to find Kamiya in their new class as well. Attempts are made to include Kamiya in the group, but she finds acclimating difficult and awkward. However, the gang's warmth and joy is infectious and before long, Kamiya can't help but have fun being with them.

When with the right people, even mundane daily activities can be special. Shikimori and Izumi have a nice date by staying in and watching TV. A serendipitous encounter while out shopping leads to Shikimori and Izumi's mothers meeting and becoming fast friends! A fun kite-making get-together with the gang leads to a chance meeting with Inuzuka's work senpai, which in turn leads to a wonderful visit to a stylish cafe. Whether in class, sharing a textbook, making a new year's visit to the temple, or on a date at the zoo, Izumi and Shikimori cherish the time they have together and continue to strengthen their bond.

It’s the big day—the team is running in the sports fair, and couch-potato Hachimitsu and Izumi’s jinx are along for the ride!
