This collection of essays is multidisciplinary and wide-ranging. The authors, literary and theatre specialists, scientists from various fields, and a psychiatrist, present Shakespeare’s works from very different perspectives, highlighting a new outlook on the current ways of tackling Shakespeare. Teachers of English all over Europe will find this book an eclectic tool which allows them to present Shakespeare in a challengingly vibrant way. To explore Shakespeare’s plays, the authors deploy a range of filters such as nutrition, plant sciences, geography, art history, costume design, music, comics and street art. They show how the Bard can still be relevant to our lives in the 21st century.

This is a paper on two pairs of twinned plays by Shakespeare. The role of nature as healing agent is described. A comparison between green and human nature shows that in an Elizabethan view assumed female properties can be matched to properties of nature. Performing a spacial analysis we find an enormous potenial for creativity in intermediate spaces. Be it between patriarchal and natural space or between what was seen in Shakespeare ́s time as male or female behaviour.

This book brings together nearly 40 academics and theatre practitioners to chronicle and celebrate the courage, determination and achievements of women on stage across the ages and around the globe. The collection stretches from ancient Greece to present-day Australasia via the United States, Soviet Russia, Europe, India, South Africa and Japan, offering a series of analytical snapshots of women performers, their work and the conditions in which they produced it. Individual chapters provide in-depth consideration of specific moments in time and geography while the volume as a whole and its juxtapositions stimulate consideration of the bigger picture, underlining the challenges women have faced across cultures in establishing themselves as performers and the range of ways in which they gained access to the stage. Organised chronologically, the volume looks not just to the past but the future: it challenges the very notions of ‘history’, ‘stage’ and even the definition of ‘women’ itself.

Does Anyone Else Want to Be a Highly Successful Personal Trainer-And Truly Live Your Dream? Most folk who embark on a career as a trainer, do so initially out of a personal passion for fitness and a strong desire to help other achieve results. Be it weight loss, conditioning, strength gains, flexibility or enhanced performance. But a passion for working out and an earnest desire to help others-alone-does not a successful personal trainer make. The sad fact is that the turn over rate for personal trainers after one year is over 80%. Why? It''s almost always because the trainer didn''t have a proper understanding of the BUSINESS of being a fitness professional. The bottom line is that without the appropriate success blueprint, the most skilled and knowledgeable personal trainer is usually doomed to failure.
