Serena Mitchell, very unlike her free-spirited sister played by the rules. Poised, polite and polished, she observed the world behind square frames and a guarded heart. But then she met Landon West and she learned some rules were highly overrated.Fast forward three months: Serena Mitchell has changed. She was in love. With her boss. With her father's best friend. A father who is dangerously close to finding out their secret. This wasn't supposed to happen. She wasn't prepared to lose anything at the end of the school year except mind numbing orgasms. Not her father. Not the love of her life. And certainly not her heart.Second Semester can be read as a stand-alone and the second in the Campus Tales Series

The Works of Eugene Field is a collection of poetry and essays by American author Eugene Field, originally published by Charles Scribner's Sons in 1896 under the title The Writings in Prose and Verse of Eugene Field. Known for his children's poetry, especially the light-hearted "Wynken, Blynken, and Nod," Field was a journalist who found his niche in poetry and humor writing. The original collection, published after Field's death and including artwork and letters from the author, is a charming set of books compiling all his works. Republished here for young readers and collectors of Americana, The Works of Eugene Field is sure to delight audiences young and old. Volume X of this twelve-volume set, Second Book of Tales, despite the title, is the third collection of short stories and prose in the series. It includes three stories that were unpublished in book form at the time of Field's death. There is an Introduction by American author and artist F. Hopkinson Smith. EUGENE FIELD (1850-1895) was an American author known for his humorous essays and children's poetry. Interested in many subjects and unable to decide what to do with his life, Field attended three colleges-Williams College, Knox College, and University of Missouri-tried his hand at acting, law, and journalism, and traveled Europe before meeting his wife and becoming city editor for the St. Joseph Gazette in St. Joseph, Missouri. He wrote and edited for several newspapers, establishing himself as a humor writer and publishing poetry. He died of a heart-attack at 45.

This book has been especially re-published to raise funds for BBC Children in Need. By buying this book you will be donating to this great charity that does so much good for children and what better way to help children than to buy a book of fairy tales. Some of which have not been seen in print or heard for over a century. In this volume you will find 19 classic folk and fairy tales like: THE SLEEPING BEAUTY IN THE WOOD, CINDERELLA, EAST OF THE SUN AND WEST OF THE MOON, RUMPELSTILTZKIN, LOVELY ILONKA, BEAUTY AND THE BEAST, LUCKY LUCK, WHY THE SEA IS SALT, PUSS IN BOOTS, THE DRAGON OF THE NORTH, THE GLASS MOUNTAIN and many more. As to whether there are really any fairies or not, that is a difficult question. The Editor never saw any himself, but he knew several people who have seen them-in the Highlands-and heard their music. If ever you are in Nether Lochaber, go to the Fairy Hill, and you may hear the music your- self, as grown-up people have done, but you must go on a fine day. In the meantime, here's a poem for all the young people out there..... Books Yellow, Red, and Green and Blue, All true, or just as good as true, And here's a Folklore Book just for YOU! Hard is the path from A to Z, And puzzling to a curly head, Yet leads to Books-Green, Yellow and Red. For every child should understand That letters from the first were planned To guide us into Fairy Land So labour at your Alphabet, For by that learning shall you get To lands where Fairies may be met. And going where this pathway goes, You too, at last, may find, who knows? The Garden of the Singing Rose.

Following Edith Nesbit’s successful book “The Book of Dragon’s”, it was unfortunate she didn’t follow this up with a sequel. But look no further! John Halsted, author, publisher and folklorist has compiled “The Second Book of Dragons” using the many of the forgotten books in the Abela catalogue as his source. In this book you will find 28 illustrated tales of dragons and serpents drawn from the mists of time. Some are friendly dragons which provide wisdom and direction to the heroes of our stories. Others are downright wicked, oozing malice and evil, leaving the hero of the story no option but to engage the spiteful, fire-breathing, beast in battle. Our heroes always willfully sally forth, albeit cautiously, engaging these ancient creatures to save a damsel in distress, or to save families, from what seems to be sure destruction. Herein you will find stories like: "The Deluded Dragon", "The Gypsy And The Dragon", "The Two Princes", "The Dragon Of Ghent", "The Magic Egg", "The Great Battle", "The Sword Gram And The Dragon Fafnir" and many, many more. These tales have been drawn from eighteen old and forgotten books and the thirty-three illustrations are by different artists bringing styles that are as different as the stories themselves.
