Overzicht van leven en werk van de Belgische schilder (1965- )

Leopold Geysen (1957) volgde als kind een opleiding in de tekenschool van zijn geboortedorp Welchelderzande. Later volgde hij kunsthumaniora en schilderkunst aan het Sint-Lucas-instituut te Brussel. Sindsdien is hij professioneel werkzaam als kunstschilder in Nieuwrode. Vanuit zijn atelier heeft hij een prachtig uitzicht over het glooiende Hageland. Hier creert hij kunstwerken die mr dan een goede kennis van technieken en materialen vereisen. Zijn oeuvre omvat landschappen, portretten, naakten en stillevens in olieverf en aquarel.
