From October lst, 1878, to December 31st, 1879, Pleuro pneumonia was found in 11 cowsheds, affecting 34 cows, which were slaughtered by order of the owners or of the Corporation; and 43 cows, which were not diseased, but had been either in contact with the affected ones or in the same cowsheds, were slaughtered by order of the owners. Pig Typhoid was found amongst the swine imported from Ireland and America. The disease was detected in 30 Irish pigs and 2 American.
