Excerpt from The Reflector, 1931 Zack S. Henderson was born January 24, 1902, at Gillsville, Georgia, the son of Hollis and Oneida Suddath Henderson. He attended grammar school at Gillsville but received his high school diploma from Maysville High School the spring of 1918. The fall of 1918 he entered Piedmont College getting his bs. Degree June, 1922. That summer he attended summer school at the University of Chicago. The fall and winter of 1922 - 23 he taught Math in Piedmont Demonstration School. Dur ing the school year of 1923-24 he was coach and science teacher at Plant City High School. For the following two years he was principal and coach at Eastman High School. In the spring of 1927 he was elected Dean of Georgia Normal School, now South Georgia Teachers College. July 2, 1927, he was married to Marjorie Clark of Eastman, Georgia. A little son was born to them August 9, 1930. Dur ing the summer of 1924-26-27-28, he attended summer school at Columbia receiving his Master's Degree October, 1928.
