In 2014, a new Western Mysteries magical training course was launched online, for free, by British adept Josephine McCarthy and German adept Frater Acher. The course was named Quareia - the quarry; a self-study course where the apprentice is slowly and carefully forged into a magical adept. The lesson modules have now been made available in paperback form, due to popular demand. Each paperback work book contains two modules from the thirty module course. The Quareia magical course has three sections: Apprentice, Initiate, and Adept. Each section has five books, and each book contains two of the study modules. Each study module covers eight lessons of in depth study on the module subject. Book five is the last of the apprentice section books, and contains module nine and ten: Planetary Powers, and Understanding Destruction. The Quareia course is written by British adept Josephine McCarthy, and together with Frater Acher, the two magicians have presented this course as a complete training method that is not aligned to any specific magical system, rather it reflects the underlying foundations of western magic itself.

The LXXXI Quareia Magicians Deck Book, second edition, is the book that accompanies the Quareia Magicians deck, and is available as a book only purchase for those who already have the deck. This second edition book vastly expands upon the original deck book, and has full page colour images of the cards, mundane as well as magical interpretations, and a wider selection of spreads/layouts. It is also a book that can be useful to the Quareia Magical student as the powers in each card relate directly to the Quareia magical path. In keeping with the ethos of Quareia, this book is available as a free download on the Quareia website, as it is a required tool for the Initiate and adept section of the course.

The Magical Knowledge trilogy is a collection of work by Josephine McCarthy written between 2009 and 2011, originally presented in three paperback volumes as Magical Knowledge I Foundations, Magical Knowledge II The Initiate, and Magical Knowledge III Contacts of the Adepts. It is now presented as a complete hardback collection for the first time. The three individual volumes are still available in their second edition paperback form published by TaDehent Books.
