Psalm 119:18 Open thou mine eyes, that I may behold wondrous things out of thy law. The scriptures in the bible, contain, wonderful, truths, about life. But by far, the most wonderful thing, contained in the bible, is God's love for us. God's love is the most wonderful thing, any human being can ever have. His love, is hidden, inside of every word, in the bible. Their is also knowledge, wisdom, and understanding, which all come from his word. Inside of his word, we will find individual revelations, that will impart, the strength we need, to overcome anything the enemy might throw against us. Proverbs 25:2 It is the glory of God to conceal a thing: but the honour of kings is to search out a matter. Inside of God's word, are hidden treasures. Treasures, who's worth far exceeds that, of rubies, and gold. All we need to do, to find them, is look for them. They are carefully concealed, inside of God's word. This book is a treasure chest, full of great riches.

Our well-being in life depends on what we see. When we begin to see the things around us, we begin to really live. If we cannot see it, we will never imagine it. We can never aspire to achieve what we do not see with our mind's eye.

We all need the comfort and support of the gospel ofJesus Christ. Sadly, some turn away from it. Often this rejectionis the result of misunderstanding of that gospel. We indulgeourselves in what could be called a fantasy faith and falseexpectations. The consequence can be dashed hopes just whenhope is most needed. In the absence of hope, faith is lost andthe pure love of Christ is not felt. So we "see through a glassdarkly," just like the ancient Israelites who saw God as a darkand threatening cloud.The good news is that the reality of the gospel isbeautiful light and not darkness. Understanding can be sought.And achieved. It can bring not only vision, but that comfortand support we all need. The spirit will attend our repentance.We will see "face to face," and behold wondrous things.

Open Thou Mine Eyes: Volume 2 is the second of a three-part series of devotional outlines. It began as an idea to encourage our church people to read one chapter of the Bible each day. This would take them through the Bible in a little over three years. Three pastors committed to writing a devotional thought from the daily Bible reading to be shared with the church family. At the completion of the first year, one pastor was asked by a family member to put his devotionals in print. The result is this series of books. The devotionals contained in this book have already been a blessing to many Christians. It is the prayer of the author that they will be a blessing to you as well.
