This is an open access book. The 6th International Conference on Learning Innovation and Quality Education​ (ICLIQE 2022) is organized by Faculty of Teacher Training and Education. The purpose of the ICLIQE 2022 activity is as a forum to accommodate researchers, academics, educators and education staff, consultants, government and other stakeholders to share perspectives related to educational trends seen from the perspective of society 5.0 era which includes the fields of science and technology education, social and humanities, management education, basic education, special education, early childhood education, guidance and counseling, curriculum, and educational evaluation and innovation.

This unique encyclopedia enables students to understand the myriad ways that the Columbian Exchange shaped the modern world, covering every major living organism from pathogens and plants to insects and mammals. Most people have only the vaguest notion of how profoundly the world was changed by Christopher Columbus's arrival in the Americas. Indeed, some of what is commonly regarded as "traditional" Native American life and culture—living in teepees and hunting buffalo from horseback, for example—came from the arrival of Europeans. This encyclopedia helps students acquire fundamental information about the Columbian Exchange through approximately 100 alphabetically arranged entries on animals, plants, diseases, and items that were exchanged, accompanied by sidebars throughout that provide interesting discussions of key people, companies, and other related topics. The work begins with an introductory essay that overviews the Columbian exchange and not only addresses its biological and cultural components but also treats it as a political and economic event. The alphabetically organized entries cover topics ranging from the African slave trade, almonds, and alpacas to watermelon, whooping cough, and yellow fever. The encyclopedia also offers a chronology of the major events of the Columbian Exchange as well as 15 transcribed primary source documents that enable students to "look into history directly," including passages about the exchange that focus on the Irish Potato Famine, the slave trade, and the influenza pandemic of 1918–1919.

This is an open access book. The rapid advancement of technology has created new civilization in this digital era which affects almost all aspects of life including language, literature, culture, and education. The digital era brings opportunities as well as challenges that people have to deal with. Thus, some adjustments need to be done in order to keep up with those changes. Studies on language, literature, culture, and education need to be continuously conducted and developed to revitalize those aspects in facing the dynamic changes of the digital era. In relation to this, Faculty of Language and Literature Education, Universitas Pendidikan Indonesia (FPBS UPI) hosts this year’s International Conference on Language, Literature and Culture (ICOLLITE) with the theme “Revitalization of Language, Literature, Culture, and Education in the Digital Era” as a forum for experts and professionals to share their research, ideas, and experiences on this issue. Presenters and participants are welcome to discuss and disseminate current issues and offer solutions to the challenges of our time. Discussions on current trends in digital literacies are expected to pave way to learn from each other for betterment as one big society of humankinds, regardless of their social, economic, and cultural backgrounds.

This book comprises the proceedings of the Sixth International Conference of Transportation Research Group of India (CTRG2021) focusing on emerging opportunities and challenges in the field of transportation of people and freight. The contents of the volume include characterization of conventional and innovative pavement materials, operational effects of road geometry, user impact of multimodal transport projects, spatial analysis of travel patterns, socio-economic impacts of transport projects, analysis of transportation policy and planning for safety and security, technology enabled models of mobility services, etc. This book will be beneficial to researchers, educators, practitioners and policy makers alike.
