These 68 papers demonstrate the dual role of cognitive engineering which, on the one hand, is utilized to design computer systems compatible with human cognition and which can be effectively and easily used by all individuals, and on the other hand, is used to transfer human cognition into the computer for the purpose of building expert systems.
