Every year, the Technical University of Munich, the Universität der Bundeswehr München, and the University of Applied Sciences in Munich invite researchers and practitioners to join the Munich Symposium on Lightweight Design. Experts from industry and academia discuss design tools, applications, and new developments. Topics include, e.g., composite structures, SHM, microstructures, material modelling, design for additive manufacturing, numerical optimization and in particular topology optimization in aerospace, automotive and other industries. The talks are summarized in short articles and presented in this volume.

This book presents the proceedings of the IUTAM Symposium on Optimal Design and Control of Multibody Systems 2022, covering research papers in the realm of optimal structural and control design for both rigid and flexible multibody systems. It delves into the application of the adjoint approach, enabling the undertaking of extensive topology optimizations to unearth body designs that excel under time- and design-dependent loads. Encompassing presentations on (adjoint) sensitivity analysis, structural optimization, optimal control, robust optimization, artificial intelligence, machine learning, and computational methods and software development, the IUTAM Symposium 2022 showcased the latest breakthroughs and innovative methodologies. This book presents 14 meticulously peer-reviewed proceedings papers from the event, evenly split between the Optimal Design and Optimal Control panels.

This book constitutes the refereed proceedings of the 14th International Workshop on Constructive Side-Channel Analysis and Secure Design, COSADE 2023, held in Munich, Germany, during April 3–4, 2023. The 12 full papers included in this book were carefully reviewed and selected from 28 submissions. They were organized in topical sections as follows: fault-injection analyses and countermeasures; side-channel analyses and countermeasures; attacks on PQC and countermeasure; and analyses and tools.
