Pike County is an agricultural and mining area of southern Indiana. This plan for the county proposes methods by which Pike County may better utilize its resources to reverse trends of declining population and stagnant economy. The plan points out both physical and administrative changes that will assist in this endeavor. The plan is based upon the assumption of an evolutionary change in the regional inter-relationship of Pike County and anticipates a slow growth in the population and economy.
