This guide to journeys within the Peak District National Park contains a series of cycle routes which are suitable for the family as well as the serious rider. The routes vary between 10 and 30 miles, and several may be linked together for longer trips. Sketch maps are provided, but it is suggested that these be backed up with the Ordnance Survey 1:25000 map The White Peak and The Dark Peak. The use of tarmac surfaces has been minimized whenever possible. Descriptions of each journey are supplemented with background information on points of interest and pubs and inns to be encountered en route.
