Unit 1: Celebrate! God fulfilled the promise to send a Savior to the people. Today Christians from around the world prepare for and celebrate the birth of God's Son, Jesus. Units 2 & 3: Parables and Teachings Jesus often used stories called parables to help the people know about God and to understand what God called them to do and to be. Jesus used these common images of life in Bible times to convey his message. Many of these experiences are beyond the scope of our children's experiences. But during this unit, we will help the children relate to stories such as the Good Samaritan, The Lost Sheep, The Sower & the Seed, The Forgiving Father, The Two Houses, The Pharisee & the Tax Collector, and The story of the Mustard Seed. The Reproducible Activities Book includes eight reproducible sheets for each week, with a Bible story, activities for all age levels, and a page to send home.
