During the contract year progress was made in the goals of studying intermediate energy physics. Experiments E-80, E-81, and E-197 were carried out at LAMPF. The year was largely devoted to data acquisition and the analysis of the data acquired. Significant improvements in the data capture programs and system hardware resulted in improvements in data collection. A list of publications is included. (JFP).

Research during the period November 1979 through October 1980 is reported. Completed work will be published in the usual places. Three sections containing significant amounts of information are abstracted separately. (RWR).
