Henry Hart was born in about 1662 in Surry County, Virginia. His parents were Thomas Hart and Anne Shepard. He married Mary Foster, daughter of George Foster and Elizabeth Witherington. They had ten children. Ancestors, descendants and relatives lived mainly in England, Virginia, North Carolina and Texas.

The earliest known Jenkins to settle in North Carolina was John Jenkins (d. 1681) who was the proprietary governor of Albemarle County. He was the father of six children. One of his descendants was Henry Jenkins (1725-1810) who was born in Nansemond County, Virginia and moved to what became hertford County, North Carolina. He married Martha Dew and they became the parents of five children. Descendants live in North Carolina and other parts of the United States.

Johan Adam Böllesfeldt (1706-1761) married Catrina Calstan, and about 1839 immigrated fron Germany to Hunterdon County, New Jersey, and anglicized his name to Adam Bellis I. Descendants (using the surname Bellis) and relatives lived in New Jersey, Maryland, Ohio, Indiana, Iowa, South Dakota, Arkansas, Oklahoma and elsewhere.
