Low-grade glioma (LGG) is a brain infiltrative neoplasia, often invading cortical and subcortical functional structures. It affects young active patients, who usually present with seizures. At present most intracranial gliomas are considered incurable with current treatment strategies, and the search for new modalities that may effectively control tumor growth continues.
