Wigwam Reservoir Dam is a 390 foot cement rubble masonry dam and has a maximum height of 67 feet. The twp width of the dam is 13 feet. Wigwam Reservoir South Dam is another dam on the same reservoir as Wigwam. It is a 476 ft. long earth embankment dam and has a maximum height of 32 feet. The top width of the dam is 15 ft. The visual inspection indicated that the dam is in fair condition. Based on its intermediate size and low hazard classification the test flood is to 1/2 PMF. The test flood would overtop Wigwam by 0.15 feet with 2.4 feet of feet remaining on Wigwam South Dam.

Lake Winnemaug Dam is an earth embankment approximately 500 feet long with a maximum height of about 15 feet. The upstream slope of the embankment is approximately 1H:1V and the downstream slope is about 1.5H:1V. The top of the dam is about 20 feet wide and it is a paved road. The overflow drop spillway is located about 100 feet from the right abutment and consists of an 18.5-foot long concrete weir, a cascading step section and a 4-foot high by 10-foot wide culvert through the embankment. The original purpose of the dam is unknown; however, the lake is currently used for recreation purposes. The peak test flood inflow for Lake Winnemaug Dam is 3,460 cfs. The routed test flood outflow of 2,010 cfs overtops the dam by about 0.8 feet. The spillway is capable of discharging 770 cfs or about 38 percent of the routed test flood outflow prior to overtopping of the dam. A breach of the dam would result in a 7.8-foot increase in the stream depth (3.8 feet above the channel banks) at the initial downstream damage area. The dam appears to be in poor condition. Numerous structural deficiencies, such as slope failures, seepage, and toe erosion were observed during the visual inspection. The embankment is overgrown with brush and trees and contains a number of rodent holes. The reservoir cannot be drained in an emergency because the outlet pipe control valve is inoperable.

Plymouth Reservoir Dam, also known as the Thomaston Reservoir Dam, consists of an earth embankment structure with a maximum height of 25 feet and a total length of 730 feet including a 31.7 foot long concrete and stone masonry overflow spillway located 200 feet from the right end of the dam. The outlet works, located to the left of the spillway, consist of a 12-inch supply main and 10-inch low level outlet or blowoff through the dam, and an upstream gatehouse. Based on the visual inspection, the dam is judged to be in fair condition. Features that could affect the future integrity of the dam are downstream seepage, the lack of riprap slope protection on the upstream slope above the waterline and settlement of existing riprap, the unknown working condition of the intake gates, and the downstream location of the control valve on the low level outlet or blowoff. The Test Flood inflow of 600 cfs results in a Test Flood routed outflow of 390 cfs that would just reach the top of the dam. The spillway capacity is 410 cfs or 105 percent of the Test Flood routed outlfow.

Morris Reservoir Dam is an 800 foot long earth embankment dam and has a maximum height of 110 feet. Top width of the dam is 20 feet and appurtenant structures include a concrete spillway, spillway channel and outlet works. The spillway is on the right (west) side of the dam. The visual inspection of Morris Reservoir Dam indicated that the dam is in good condition and is well maintained. The inspection revealed that a surficial erosion channel up to 8 inches in depth is located on the downstream slope approximately 150 feet east of the spillway starting at the third berm down from the crest and extending to the toe. Occasional animal burrows were found on the downstream face of the dam. Loose rock and trees were observed overhanging the west side of the downstream channel. Slight erosion adjacent to the east side of the gate structure was observed. Occasional water observed on the berms is believed to be melt water. The spillway will pass the test flood outflow of 15,575 cfs with a pool elevation of 659.6 feet MSL which is 1 foot below top of dam.

Pitch Reservoir Dam is a 920 foot long earth embankment and concrete dam. The earth embankment section is 800 feet long and has a maximum height of 94 feet. The concrete section is 120 feet long with a height of about 40 feet. The spillway is located on the left (east) side of the dam. The top width of the earthen embankment is 20 feet and the concrete section is 12 feet. The visual inspection of Pitch Reservoir Dam indicated that the dam is in good condition and well maintained. The inspection revealed the efflorescence of the joints of the concrete section of the dam existed and an animal burrow was found beneath the tow of this section. Water was observed flowing from a perforated pipe adjacent to the service road in the vicinity of the west embankment. Minor deterioration and slight seepage through joints was observed near the top of the spillway wall. Based on its intermediate size and significant hazard classification in accordance with the Corps guidelines the test flood is equal to the Probable Maximum Flood. The spillway will pass the test flood outflow of 4725 cfs with a pool elevation 731.1 feet which is 4.9 feet below the top of the dam.
