Los autores de este texto son profesores e investigadores en psicología de diversas universidades colombianas que tienen una amplia trayectoria en estudios sobre motivación y educación en diferentes niveles educativos. En un intento deliberado por promover la relevancia de la obra, en los diferentes capítulos los autores incluyen una reflexión sobre la importancia de la motivación para la práctica educativa; estas reflexiones involucran a los diferentes miembros de las comunidades educativas, estudiantes, profesores, y padres de familia, invitándolos a pensar qué pueden hacer, desde las interacciones educativas concretas, para promover escenarios educativos que promuevan aprendizajes con sentido.

This book will offer ideas on how robots can be used as teachers' assistants to scaffold learning outcomes, where the robot is a learning agent in self-directed learning who can contribute to the development of key competences for today's world through targeted learning - such as engineering thinking, math, physics, computational thinking, etc. starting from pre-school and continuing to a higher education level. Robotization is speeding up at the moment in a variety of dimensions, both through the automation of work, by performing intellectual duties, and by providing support for people in everyday situations. There is increasing political attention, especially in Europe, on educational systems not being able to keep up with such emerging technologies, and efforts to rectify this. This edited volume responds to this attention, and seeks to explore which pedagogical and educational concepts should be included in the learning process so that the use of robots is meaningful from the point of view of knowledge construction, and so that it is safe from the technological and cybersecurity perspective.

State-of-the-art and novel methodologies and technologies allow researchers, designers, and domain experts to pursue technology-enhanced learning (TEL) solutions targeting not only cognitive processes but also motivational, personality, or emotional factors. The International Conference in Methodologies and Intelligent Systems for Technology-Enhanced Learning (MIS4TEL'21) is hosted by the University of Salamanca and was held in Salamanca (Spain) from October 6–8, 2021. The annual appointment of MIS4TEL established itself as a consolidated fertile forum where scholars and professionals from the international community, with a broad range of expertise in the TEL field, share results and compare experiences. The calls for papers of the 11th edition of the conference welcomed novel research in TEL and expands on the topics of the previous editions: It solicited work from new research fields (ranging from artificial intelligence and agent-based systems to robotics, virtual reality, Internet of things and wearable solutions, among others) concerning methods and technological opportunities, and how they serve to create novel approaches to TEL, innovative TEL solutions, and valuable TEL experiences.

Revista de Estudios Ingleses es un anuario dirigido y gestionado por miembros del Departamento de Filología Inglesa y Alemana de la Universidad de Almería con el propósito de ofrecer un foro de intercambio de producción científica en campos del conocimiento tan diversos como la lengua inglesa, literatura en lengua inglesa, didáctica del inglés, traducción, inglés para fines específicos y otros igualmente vinculados a los estudios ingleses.
