I had early intimation that my name was everywhere unfavourably mentioned in that pub lication; but, as the share I had in the transac tions of that period had now become, if I may be allowed to say so, matter of genuine history, I should, probably, have continued to disregard the small measure of justice afforded me in the Marquess's Narrative, had not an octavo edition.
