Diablo Keep is getting ready for the Tyrannobos drive to Socorro, New Mexico. Patrick Henry Wall and his aides bid farewell to the Eisensteins and Diablo Keep, though Mr. Wall may visit the drive when it arrives in New Mexico. Old friends of the Eisensteins show up. Leroy goes to stay with the Jamiesons while the Eisensteins are on the drive. Monty and Batrix Eisenstein have their first honeymoon in their own suite, Bill Jamieson fielding anything important for them. This is the 2nd Edition, Revised, of this work.

The drive begins today! After seeing Pat Wall off as he returns to Spkane, WA, Monty and Batrix Eisenstein go out to watch the drive begin, headed for Socorro, New Mexico. After saying goodbye to Leah Herzog and Paul Royer, who will head up the drive before the Eisensteins join it, they go back with Leroy, their son, who will be staying at the keep with Rachel and Bill Jamieson until the drive returns to Southern California. Deciding to take a walk into the desert north of Diablo Keep and back, they encounter old friends: a Szekely family and, later, Leo, a working gentleman who has often done admirable work at Diablo Keep. Finally the Eisensteins return to their suite, to be alone together for the very first honeymoon they've had in all their years of marriage, to come to know each other far more deeply than ever before.
