The story of Doctor Edward H. McCleery is remarkable for his time (1867-1962). He was a successful medical doctor in Kane, Pennsylvania, for over fifty years yet he found the time and talents to save the Lobo Wolf (Canis lupus nubilus) from a callous government elimination and he made his Wolf Park a popular tourist attraction in Kane for over forty years. He proved that wolves, given proper care and kindness, can become a friend to man.
