There are many who feel that Leviticus is a dry, dull, and boring book. That is not so. The gospel is the life, the teachings, and the cross of Jesus, the Son of God. The only way that a person in this present age can have the forgiveness of sin and peace with God is through the gospel of Jesus the Son of God. The gospel is not dull and boring. It is the most read, the most cherished, the most translated, and the most published literature in the entire world. However, the Law of Moses, and the Levitical sacrifices that were part of that law, was the gospel of the Israelites. It was through the Law of Moses and the Levitical sacrifices that a person who lived before Christ could have the forgiveness of sin and peace with God, and therefore it cannot be dull and boring. This book is intended to make the book of Leviticus a living book and a very interesting Bible study. It will open up the Levitical letter and make it interesting by making it easy to understand. The book itself is easy to read and understand. It is written in a way that is quite reasonablein other words, it just makes sense. The purpose of this book is to give a portrayal of the Levitical sacrificial system, what the sacrifices meant to the worshipper who offered them, their purpose, what they accomplished, how God viewed them, and how they were fulfilled in Christ. That is all accomplished by very careful scriptural references that establish the points that are made in the book. When a person understands why there were so many different sacrifices such as the burnt offering, the meal offering, the peace offering, the guilt offering, the sin offering, the trespass offering, and othersand then he sees that each one of those sacrifices served a different purpose and they were all fulfilled in Christ is different ways, Leviticus becomes a book that you just cannot put down.

There are many people, even Christians, who will not read Johns revelation letter for two reasons. First, they dont believe that it can be understood. Second, they are terrified of even thinking about reading of the deadly judgments of God that Johns revelation letter portraysthat is, the appalling plagues, famines, wars, and natural disasters that Johns letter discloses as having been pronounced against this present evil world, and they dont want to be any part of that, nor do they even want to be reminded of those dreadful things that they think are going to happen. Such is so sad, so very sad! One of the purposes of this book is to alleviate that fear completely, and to replace it by making the reading of Johns revelation letter a time of comfort and encouragement. That shall all be accomplished by illustrating how the deadly forces of destruction that John described in his revelation letter are not decreed against the Christiansthey will never fall upon Gods churchbut rather, they are in fact, the very powers of God that protect his church, shelter his children, and defend the Christian faith. All of that can be established by comparing the spiritual war that John witnessed in heaven with the carnal war that was fought between the Roman Empire and the church. That comparison is not difficult to establish, because both of those wars were actually the one and the same war. Once that correlation has been confirmed, Revelation becomes a letter of comfort and security, and a letter that replaces fear with hope. Another reason that even Christians will not read Johns revelation letter is because they do not think that it can be understood because it is so complicated, but God does not put books in his Bible that cannot be understood. Johns revelation letter can be understood, and that is the other purpose of this book, to make it understandable.

The Book of Leviticus is the third book of the Hebrew Bible and the Old Testament. It is a part of the Torah, which is the foundational text of Judaism. Leviticus primarily focuses on religious laws, rituals, and regulations governing the lives of the Israelites, particularly those related to worship, sacrifice, and ethical behavior. The book is traditionally attributed to Moses and is considered a continuation of the events recorded in the previous book, Exodus. Key Themes and Content of Leviticus: Priestly Rituals and Sacrifices: A significant portion of Leviticus is dedicated to outlining various rituals and sacrifices that the Israelites were required to perform as part of their worship. These rituals include offerings for sin, guilt, peace, and consecration. The book provides detailed instructions for how these rituals were to be carried out and emphasizes the importance of approaching God with reverence and purity. Holiness and Purity: Leviticus stresses the concept of holiness, both in terms of the sanctity of the tabernacle (the portable sanctuary) and in the lives of the Israelites. The book outlines guidelines for maintaining purity, including dietary laws, regulations regarding bodily discharges, and guidelines for proper hygiene.

Leviticus 18:22 seems to condemn gay people, but does it really? Have we been wrong all of these many years? After all, weren't we taught that homosexuality was evil, a sin, against God's will? Doesn't the Bible condemn homosexuals? That's what I was taught and believed. Raised in a devoutly religious Pentecostal family, son of a Pentecostal preacher, and one myself, my prejudices were handed to me neatly wrapped and unquestionable. Homosexuals were evil, but something was not right with this thought. Long after my years of Theology, Hebrew and Greek study at Lee University, I continued to pursue the definitive facts to this question. Did God make this world an exclusive club for heterosexuals? If so, then why did He even make homosexuals at all? And I found that God made all of us, that He loves all of us, and that all of this foolishness of prejudice and bigotry directed against any one segment of His creation was not backed up by the Bible...at all. The Bible does NOT condemn gay people...anywhere. So, if you are tired of bigots proudly extolling the ignorance that separates children from the love of their parents, that makes people hate one another for something so simple as the way that God made us, then read this book. The Bible says that we should know the Truth, that the Truth will set us free. If you call yourself a Christian, the Lord calls on you to face the truth that is revealed here, then work to undo the damage of the years of ignorance and prejudice.
