This proceedings volume consists of contributed papers which deal with diverse topics ranging from logical questions to geometric methods and covering both integral group rings and group algebras. Some papers are research announcements, or of a descriptive nature, while others are research papers.

Eighteen papers presented during a special AMS session designed to draw together researchers in various areas of infinite group theory, especially combinatorial group theory, to share methods and results.

The Ring Theory Conference, held a the University of Miskolc, Hungary, successfully accomplished its two goals: to reflect contemporary trends in the subject area; and to offer a meeting place for a large number of Eastern European algebraists and their colleagues from around the world. Particular emphasis was placed on recent developments in the following four areas: representation theory, group algebras, PI algebras and general ring theory. This book presents 13 of the invited lectures.

An aid for researching non-western cultures, this bibliography covers Japan, China, North and South Korea, Hong Kong, and Taiwan, with approximately 3500 listings from LC MARC tapes and the Oriental Division of the New York Public Library. It includes publications about East Asia; materials published in any of the relevant countries; and publications in the Chinese, Japanese and Korean languages. Listings are transcribed into Anglicized characters. Each entry provides complete bibliographic information, along with the NYPL and/or LC call numbers.

Focuses on developments made in the field of differential analysis in infinite dimensional spaces. This work covers a range of topics including gauge theories, polar subsets, approximation theory, group analysis of partial differential equations, inequalities and actions on infinite groups.
