In addition, guitar chords accessible to amateur players have been included for many of the selections, and there are suggestions for using familiar tunes found here with other hymns texts. These accompaniments are also a useful resource for teaching beginning piano students who are not ready for the full accompaniments in The Hymnal 1982.
